What you need to know about Mission of Love

Mission of Love begins when SpaceWoman touches down on planet Earth to fulfill her mission. Her only duty is to find out just exactly, matter-of-factly, what love means. EarthWoman, a single mother and struggling artist, crosses SpaceWoman's path on the streets of New York City, and the story of their search for love spans the galaxy.

Previously a cult live radio soap opera, with a soundtrack by Jay Rodriguez and Bill Ware, more than fifty readings of as many episodes of Mission of Love traveled from the University of the Streets to the Railyard in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and then back to New York City at Jackie 60 and the Knitting Factory. Eight hours of the drama were broadcast on WBAI Radio NY.

It's latest incarnation was as a multi-media theater production in two acts, written in iambic pentameter (read the original script). Mission of Love was written by Martha Cinader and Charlotte Taylor, and produced by Martha Cinader, Jeannie Hopper and Charlotte Taylor, directed by Jasper McGruder, with musical direction by DJ Jeannie Hopper and costume design by Paul Alexander. The showcase at Club Vinyl featured the Jones Twins as EarthWoman and SpaceWoman, a stellar supporting cast, live video mixing by Gerald Aldana, and additional original music by Hayes Greenfield.

The web site, designed by Charlotte A. Taylor, will keep the mission alive, until it re-emerges as a tele-play. The proposal for that transuniversal event will soon be found on this page, so please book mark it and come back next week to find out how you can participate.
